In an effort to improve the quality of eye health services, Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Mata Indonesia (PERDAMI) Regional of Central Java, Yogyakarta, and Solo organized a scientific meeting that included a symposium, workshop, and didactic course on the theme "GUYUP in Eye Care: Guiding Your Updates in Eye Care in Transformed Eye Care". The event aims to
update the knowledge and skills of practitioners in dealing with the newly transformed eye care.
The meeting will present a range of key topics in ophthalmology, including refraction, pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, infection and immunology, neuro-ophthalmology, cataract and refractive surgery, vitreoretinal, glaucoma, reconstruction and oculoplasty surgery. Each session is categorized by its level of competence and it’s designed to provide an in depth understanding of these conditions, the latest strategies in diagnosis and treatment, as well as technological innovations and new methods in the field of ophthalmology.
With the presence of experts and practitioners from various sub-disciplines, the event is expected to be a platform for sharing knowledge, experience, and the latest scientific findings. Through a combination of theoretical discussion and clinical practice, the event aims to strengthen the participants' ability to face the new eye care system in Indonesia and clinical challenges and optimize treatment outcomes for patients.
